Ben Biehl

I was born in rural Nebraska, just outside of Hastings and graduated from Adams Central High School.  My family lived on a farm, surrounded by horses and all sorts of animals.  My father is a retired veterinarian so growing up, I was exposed to medical procedures, medications, surgeries, deliveries and more, albeit on dogs, cats and horses!  Nonetheless, this influenced my decision to pursue a career in medicine.

I graduated with honors from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, NE with a BS in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry, then spent an additional year performing biochemistry research at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln prior to attending Medical School at Creighton University in Omaha.

I was one of only a few Nebraska-born students in my class at Creighton allowing me to experience a wide assortment of personalities, cultures and medical practices.  This was very valuable as it led me down the path of Family Medicine, a path with diversity, variability and many rewarding challenges.  While at Creighton, I met my wife, Katy, whom I married in May of 2010.  We now have 2 children, my son Rocco age 13 and my daughter Lyla age 11.

Ultimately, I joined the Lincoln Medical Education Partnership Residency program in 2009, graduating with a great group of fellow residents.  This comprehensive training was instrumental in preparing me for my first real Family Medicine position down in Tecumseh, Ne.

I provided full-spectrum care in Tecumseh for nearly 13 years, bouncing around from the Emergency room, Trauma Bay, Hospital floor, Nursing Home or the Clinic, sometimes all in one day.

In June of 2024, I began a new chapter in my career joining the amazing staff at Lincoln Family Wellness.  I am very excited to be working with some old friends and colleagues and to provide great primary care to the Lincoln area.
